​Conscious Monster

Conscious Monster plays its own style of groove-laden folk & funk-inspired roots pop. Catchy melodies, relatable lyrics and always, infectious grooves.

Formed in 2011, out of the accidental reunion of two former Music College classmates. Percusssionist Scott McCutcheon and singer/songwriter Paul McMahon. Inevitably, after being repeatedly assulted with the duo's incessant racket, Amelia McCutcheon moved in on bass and harmonies. Somehow this seemed to have a kind of unifying effect on the sound, and a band was born.

Following a couple of years of pestering, cadjoling and finally stalking, Chris Lavars (percussion) and Peter Maskell (guitars) eventually agreed to join. Now they think they've actually got something to offer punters - who knows? .....maybe, just maybe.
